Lake Roots Company was founded in 2019 by Dr. Maria Johnson Narveson, L.Ac., DACM, a licensed acupuncturist and owner of Point of Renewal Integrated Health in Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

With a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business and Marketing, Maria created Lake Roots as a way to bring her clinical experience, love of traditional wellness, and passion for natural products into everyday use.

Lake Roots originally began with a focus on specialized botanical compounds. As modern wellness guidelines and market landscapes continued to shift, we made the decision to evolve our line in a new direction while staying true to what our customers valued most: high-quality, carefully formulated products with a clean, natural focus.

Today, Lake Roots is beginning a fresh chapter centered on purely plant-based formulas, botanical ingredients, holistic education, and a growing focus on Copaiba resin oil—a plant ingredient carefully chosen for its exceptional comforting properties and rich aromatic profile.

The name Lake Roots was inspired by the deep roots Maria grew near the lakes of Wisconsin and Minnesota—places tied to family, peace, and time spent in nature.
