At Lake Roots Company, our products have always been rooted in nature, traditional wellness, and real-life support for people looking for natural options they can feel good about using.

For years, one of our most loved products was Deep Roots Elixir. Customers appreciated its easy roll-on application, cooling feel, and targeted use for overworked areas of the body. Deep Roots Elixir included CBD, and for many people, it became a favorite part of their wellness routine.

As regulations around CBD products have continued to change, we made the decision to move Lake Roots Company in a new direction. While we are no longer offering CBD products, we still wanted to honor what our customers loved about Deep Roots Elixir: the herbal foundation, the targeted roll-on format, and the idea of creating a product that feels both natural and intentional.

That is where copaiba oil comes in.

What Is Copaiba Oil?

Copaiba oil comes from the resin of copaiba trees, which grow in South America. The resin is collected from the tree and has been used in traditional wellness practices for generations.

Copaiba oil is especially known for containing beta-caryophyllene, a naturally occurring plant compound also found in other botanicals such as black pepper and clove. This compound has received attention in natural wellness because of the way it interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, especially the CB2 receptor.

That does not mean copaiba oil is the same as CBD. It is not. Copaiba is not a cannabinoid, and it should not be described as a direct replacement for CBD. However, it does make sense as part of a thoughtful, botanical-based formula for customers who are looking for a CBD-free option.

Why We Chose Copaiba for Meridian Blend

When we began reformulating Deep Roots Elixir, we did not want to simply remove CBD and call it done. We wanted to create something that still felt aligned with the original purpose of the product while moving Lake Roots into a new chapter.

Our new formula, Meridian Blend, was created as a CBD-free herbal topical roll-on featuring:

  • Hemp seed oil

  • Copaiba oil

  • Peppermint oil

  • Arnica

  • Traditional Chinese herbs

  • Botanical oils

  • Rose quartz infusion

The result is a cooling, easy-to-apply roll-on designed for targeted use on areas like the neck, shoulders, back, hands, knees, and feet.

Meridian Blend is inspired by the product our customers already knew and loved, but it has been reimagined for where Lake Roots Company is going next.

Copaiba oil fits beautifully with the future of Lake Roots Company because it aligns with our focus on nature-inspired, doctor-formulated wellness products.

We are building a product line that highlights botanical ingredients, thoughtful formulation, and natural wellness education. Meridian Blend is our first product in this new chapter, but it will not be the last. In time, we plan to introduce additional Lake Roots products featuring copaiba oil and other carefully selected natural ingredients.

Our goal is not to chase trends. Our goal is to create products with purpose.

A CBD-Free Future with the Same Lake Roots Heart

We know many of our customers loved Deep Roots Elixir, and we did too. Meridian Blend was created to honor that original product while giving Lake Roots Company a fresh, compliant, CBD-free direction.

It has the same spirit: natural, targeted, easy to use, and rooted in traditional wellness.

As Lake Roots grows, our Learning Center will also continue to expand with education on botanical ingredients, natural wellness tools, tick and Lyme awareness, and supportive lifestyle practices for people who want to better understand their bodies.
